Several residents in Jackson have had their cars broken into over the past week and a variety of property taken. Lt. Roger Shultz of the Jackson Police Department says for the most part, the burglaries have been crimes of opportunity.
The auto burglaries have been concentrated on the west side of town. Shultz says the thieves have been taking anything that looks like it may be of value, not targeting anything in particular. He adds that police are looking for tips from anyone who may have seen something or witnesses something currently going on that is suspicious.
Shultz says they should contact the police department at 733-1430 or submit the tip online on the police department’s website.
