This weekend’s snowfall has brought up to 15 inches to the Tetons and 10 inches in the Togwotee and Greys River areas bringing with it very dangerous avalanche conditions. Avalanche forecasters advise that travel above 9000 feet is not recommended at this time. Between 7,500 and 9,000 feet, conservative terrain choices and cautious route finding will be essential for safe travel in avalanche terrain. Skiers and riders could easily trigger small to large wind slabs and loose snow sluffs in steep avalanche terrain at the mid and upper elevations, and natural activity will be possible.
