Jackson Hole Babe Force, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women to seek adventure in the mountains, has announced the launch of their 2019-2020 Scholarship program. Funds for the scholarship program are raised through donations accepted during the organization’s year-round programming, with the majority of funds raised at the annual spring fundraiser. For the past four years, Jackson Hole Babe Force has held a Kentucky Derby Spring Fling that raises money through ticket sales, raffle, and a silent auction, and 100% of those funds go to the Scholarship Fund. In the spring of 2019, the organization raised just over $14,000 to provide financial assistance to women who want to acquire avalanche and snow safety education, to gain confidence and skills in the mountains through women-specific camps and clinics, or to offset costs associated with adventure travel. Anyone interested can visit jacksonholebabeforce.com/scholarships/ for more information or to apply. Women of all ages and abilities are encouraged to apply.
