Wyoming’s US Senator John Barrasso has introduced a bill to allow people to legally share their videos of their trips into the national parks on social media. Barrasso introduced the Federal Interior Land Media Act yesterday, designed to modernize film permitting on public lands to keep pace with changing technology and social media and eliminate burdensome and unnecessary regulations.
Wyoming Office of Tourism Director Diane Shober explains, “The FILM Act will guarantee that the people who visit Wyoming’s parks and public lands can record and share their stories online and through social media without asking the government for permission.” She says the bill will bring the country forward into the 21st century,
