Wyoming’s US Senator John Barrasso has been elected to serve as chairman of the Republican Conference. Barrasso says he considers his election to the post an honor. He says the leadership position will effectively give Wyoming’s congressional delegation even more opportunities to advance the state’s interests on a national stage. Barrasso pledges that as chairman, he’ll continue to work on issues that are important to the people of Wyoming including: quality jobs, affordable healthcare, lower energy costs and on solutions to the challenges facing Wyoming and the West.” Chairmanship of the Republican Conference is the No. 3 leadership position for Senate Republicans.
