A crowd of hundreds gathered at the Center for the Arts on Saturday to celebrate Mark Barron’s long service with the Town of Jackson. Barron, whose 12 year term was the second longest in the town’s hundred year history, sat quietly on a throne as the roast began. Show emcees Jerry DeFrance and Scott Anderson teased Barron on a wide variety of topics including street bulb-outs.

A series of well-wishers gave “public comment” praising and teasing the Mayor. Barron will call his last meeting to order tonight.
