Another grizzly bear has been trapped and relocated in the Greater Yellowstone area – this one from private lands west of Thermopolis. According to Wyoming Game and Fish Department, the adult male was captured for cattle depredation on August 15th.
In cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the bear was relocated to the Fivemile Creek drainage approximately 47 miles west of Cody.
This particular site was chosen due to the lack of human presence and ability to release the bears several miles behind closed gates.
