Bear Poached

Baggs Game Warden Kim Olson is asking the public to help her solve a black bear poaching case that took place in early October, near the town of Baggs.

“The sow black bear was discovered by elk hunters on October 13, but I am pretty sure the bear was killed on or around October 10,” Olson said. “The two or three year old female bear was shot and killed with a 30 caliber Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet and left in the Little Sandstone drainage. If you were in the area in this time frame, and think you may have information, please give me a call at 307-383-2160.”
