Beartooth Highway just outside Yellowstone National Park’s Northeast Entrance was open ever so briefly on Friday, but a winter storm dropped up to three feet of snow onto the highway. Highway officials now say it won’t be until sometime next week before the pass can be reopened.
That same storm dropped copious amounts of snow onto Chief Joseph Highway between the Beartooth Highway and Cody, stranding motorists for a time. It has since been reopened. Most Yellowstone Roads are open, but weather conditions at times. may require caution traveling them.
