Wyoming Law enforcement officials are warning the public of a malicious website pretending to be a live global map for the COVID-19 Coronavirus produced by Johns Hopkins University. That website has been set up to ensnare unwitting internet users to visit it and infect the user with the AZORult trojan – an information-stealing program which can exfiltrate a variety of sensitive data. It is likely also being spread by infected email attachments, malicious online advertisements and social engineering. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office also says anyone searching the internet for a Coronavirus map could unwittingly navigate to this malicious website.
