If those who visited the Jackson Hole Airport last month thought it looked busy, they would be right. According to the monthly report to the airport board, enplanements totaled 85,037 passengers or 133.6% of what was seen in 2019 which was the last normal year before the pandemic.
Meanwhile, 82,765 people arrived in Jackson through the airport which was 128% of the total for the month in 2019. There were 974 trips into Jackson Hole Airport by the eight air carriers serving the valley compared with 651 in 2019.
Year to date, Jackson Hole Airport has served nearly 300,000 people arriving in the valley by air, which is twice the volume seen during 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted air travel nationally.
Jackson Hole Airport provided direct flights to 15 destinations nationwide.
