Boat inspections start for 2022

Wyoming has launched its annual boat inspections for aquatic invasive species as of yesterday. Any watercraft transported into Wyoming must undergo a mandatory inspection by a certified AIS inspector to look for aquatic invasive species prior to launching on any Wyoming waters.
Inspections currently are being conducted at specific sites, but Game and Fish AIS check stations across Wyoming will resume seasonal operations on April 1st. All boaters will be required to stop when coming upon an AIS inspection station.
Wyoming is one of the few states left in the nation that hasn’t found the invasive zebra or quagga mussels in its waters, and is dedicated to keeping these destructive invasive species out of state waters.
