The Wyoming Broadband Advisory Council will hold a public meeting at 8 a.m. on May 17 at 900 E. Sunset Drive in Riverton.
The Broadband Council is appointed by the Wyoming Business Council, the state’s economic development agency, and is tasked with ensuring every citizen and business in Wyoming has access to affordable, reliable, redundant and future-proof broadband.
Broadband Council members will also consider additional organizations and advocates who can help advance broadband enhancement efforts. U.S. Department of Agriculture representatives will educate members on the ReConnect Loan and Grant Program and Connect America Fund, two funding opportunities for broadband projects.
