The Jackson Broncs got back on the winning track Friday as they overwhelmed the Evanston Red Devils in every facet of the game.
The Jackson offense kickstarted back to life with a roar. After being shut out the previous week in Afton, the Broncs rolled up 9 touchdowns enroute to a 62-13 romp over the Devils in Evanston.
Tailback Jeydon Cox had a big night, rushing for over 200 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught a pass for another score.
Sadler Smith looked sharp, throwing for two touchdowns. He spread the ball around to receivers Peter Goettler, Nate Keipert, and Evan Brunner.
The defense was every bit the complement to the high-powered offense Friday. Jackson forced three turnovers on fumbles, and a huge interception by Brody Hasenick in the end zone killed an early Evanston drive.
With the win, Jackson improves to 2-2 in conference, 5-3 overall. They hold down third place (tied with Powell) in the 3A West standings behind Star Valley and Cody.
Jackson hosts the Powell Panthers this Friday at William T. McIntosh Stadium. It is the final regular season game for both teams. Kickoff at 5pm. Live coverage on KZ95 (95.3FM) and KZ95.live on the Internet.
