The Broncs did not play well in their home opener against Pocatello last Friday…a lot of that was more about what the Indians did right than what Jackson did wrong. After the two teams traded early scores—both teams finding paydirt on their opening possessions, Pocatello found another gear and left the Broncs behind, handing the hometown team a 30-14 loss. Pokies QB Zach Park torched the Broncs shaky secondary and the Indians defense made life miserable for Jackson. Brody Hasenack had another good day rushing the ball but dropped passes and turnovers never allowed the Black & Orange to get the offense on track. The loss drops Jackson to 2-1 in the 3A west conference behind the red-hot Powell Panthers. The Broncs head to Riverton this week before returning home for a showdown with Star Valley.
