Have you sent your packages to out-of-town family and friends yet? If not, you may wish you had. The US Postal Service says this week is anticipated to be the busiest week of the holiday mailing and shipping season for the Postal Service.
The agency expects to process and deliver nearly 2.5 billion pieces of mail, including packages, this week alone. That means long lines at the windows. So, when do the packages and cards need to be posted to get there on time?
The Postal Service recommends sending things by December 18th for APO.FPO/DPO military mail, December 20th for first class mail including greeting cards and packages up to 16 ounces – as well as priority and first-class mail between the mainland and Hawaii, and December 21st for all priority mail.
