The National Development Council awarded Southeast Regional Director Heather Tupper and Northeast Regional Director Brandi Harlow this week with a certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional.
The professional credential is awarded for completing the Development Council’s intensive economic development finance training series. The training provides education in business credit analysis, real estate financing, loan packaging, deal structuring, negotiating and the creation and implementation of development programs.
Each of the four courses are five days long and the training series concludes with an exam.
Harlow has more than a decade of economic development experience in northeast Wyoming. She served both as project director for Campbell County Economic Development Corporation and the economic development coordinator for the town of Wright before joining the Business Council as a regional director in January 2017.
Tupper spent 12 years in finance and workforce services before joining the Business Council in 2010. She was promoted as the southeast regional director in October 2015.
The Business Council’s six regional directors are charged with partnering with local communities to address economic development needs. Directors provide business and community development assistance, outreach and the development of business retention, expansion and relocation leads.
