Teton County Search and Rescue personnel had a busy weekend with off-road accidents in the Gros Ventre area. Search and Rescue’s Cody Lockhart says the first occurred at about 3:30 Saturday when a “side-by-side” unit left the road and cartwheeled down the hillside toward Slide Lake. A female passenger in the vehicle suffered injuries to her arm and was transported to St. John’s Hospital. Then Lockhart says just shortly before 6:00 pm Sunday, a second “side-by-side” vehicle overturned near Slate Creek. A 52-year-old woman in that vehicle suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported in a pick-up truck to a waiting ambulance which then took her to St. John’s Hospital for treatment. Identities of the two victims, both of whom were visitors to the area, were not immediately available. Both accidents involved a local sight-seeing company.
