With the approach of the Labor Day holiday weekend, crowding of forest campgrounds is tapering off. During the past week, the Bridger-Teton National Forest has seen a decrease in camping-related calls. However, they are are getting information requests from visitors planning Labor Day weekend trips, and starting to see an increase in hunting-related trip planning. Forest officials are anticipating a busy holiday weekend and continue to emphasize messages around fire restrictions which remain in effect despite the cooler, damp weather. Camping is permitted only at designated sites, and recreationists are urged to keep the forest free of trash & waste. Campers should be mindful of bear safety and food storage. Holiday weekend-aside, most of the forest campgrounds and dispersed areas do not seem to be consistently filling at this time.
