Center St. between Broadway and Deloney continues to be closed as the water main in that location is excavated and replaced. The current main there is very old and undersized to carry clean water to the various portions of town it serves. Westwood Curtis plans to continue excavation to the north, beginning Phase 2 from Deloney to Gill later this week. Excavation into the intersection of Deloney and Center Street began yesterday and excavation of Center Street from Deloney toward Gill takes place today. Work hours are from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm, and no work will take place over the weekend. During this time, Center Street between Broadway and Deloney is closed.
Meanwhile, members of the public using the Elk Refuge Road to walk, run or ride a bike are being advised by Teton County that the county road and levee department will be blading the road Friday beginning at 7:00 am. The road will remain open during the grading, but those using the road need to give the workers sufficient space to work.
