Wyoming’s US Congresswoman Liz Cheney has joined the Bipartisan Wildfire Caucus which works to increase awareness and bipartisan consensus around wildfire management and mitigation, and wildfire preparedness and recovery.
Cheney remarked, “With the threat of wildfires as prevalent as ever, we must find commonsense solutions to protect the communities threatened by these fires and the firefighters who risk their lives to fight them.”
Last month, Cheney introduced ‘Tim’s Act’ to recognize the needs of the brave wildland firefighters, and now seeks legislation to offer similar comprehensive solutions to prevent and combat wildfires.
