As yet, there is only one Republican candidate who has filed to run for the US Senate seat being vacated by Mike Enzi. Former Representative Cynthia Lummis has championed livestock-grazing on public lands with President Trump and last July, she announced her plans to run for the vacated Senate seat. Lummis is frequently seen in Star Valley where she has a farm and enjoys strong support among agricultural interests across the state. Meanwhile, US Representative Liz Cheney has said she will make a decision whether or not to make a Senate run early this year.
