Clarene Law has died. The longtime Jackson leader and businesswoman passed away Wednesday morning at St John’s Health.
Law, who with her husband Creed, operated the Town Square Inns including The Antler, 49er Inn, Elk Country Inn, and Cowboy Village Resort.
Having moved to Jackson in 1959, Law initially worked at the Wort Motor Hotel and went on to buy the Antler Motel in May of 1962.
Highly active is promoting the business community in Jackson, Law also served on Jackson’s first zoning commission and was Chairperson of the School Board.In 1991, Law began serving as Wyoming State Representative for Jackson and held that seat for 14 years where she was Chairperson of the Minerals Business and Economic development and House Travel, Recreation and Wildlife committees.
Law was President of the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant association and a member of the Wyoming Business Council.
She had been honored for her service to the community by the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations.
Clarene Law was 89.
