Not much information is immediately available about the fall that killed a 35-year-old Colorado woman Saturday in the Wind River Mountains. The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the woman fell while descending Pingora Peak in the Cirque of the Towers of the Wind River Range and died at the scene. The unidentified woman fell more than 400 feet while rappelling down the South Buttress of the mountain. The accident is currently under investigation by the Fremont County Sheriff’s office.
