The Community Council of Idaho is offering a scholarship specifically for Hispanic students entering college as freshmen this year. The scholarship is a one-time, $1,000 scholarship that is awarded to nine deserving, low-income high school graduates or otherwise first time collegiate-bound Idahoans. The application deadline for the scholarships is today. The scholarship application requires an essay describing the applicant’s educational and career goals among other requirements. Specifically, the Community Council wants to know why the applicant is passionate about his or her chosen career and how they came to choosing that career. More information about the scholarship may be obtained by calling 208- 453-3100.
