Vocational and Computer Science education will top the list of items to be considered when the Wyoming State Board of Education holds a full-day meeting in Casper tomorrow. The board will first convene as the State Board of Vocational Education to hear an update from the Wyoming Department of Education on the State Perkins Five Transition Plan. Thereafter, the State Board of Education will consider input gathered on the proposed Computer Science Standards through an online survey and regional meetings. A summary of the public input that was collected will be presented to the board. They will take public comment on Computer Science in person or in writing as part of their review of the computer science standards. Aside from the discussion of standards, the board hear a presentation from 2018-19 Wyoming Teacher of the Year, Valerie Bruce during the course of the meeting. The meeting is open to the public.
