As restrictions in Teton County begin to ease this week, Teton District Health Officer Dr. Travis Riddell stressed the need for the populace to remain vigilant for potential symptoms and to continue to wear face masks.
Riddell said, “As we scale back on our orders and directives, our ability to contain coronavirus is going to rely more and more on trust. I trust that you will stay home and get tested if you’re sick. I trust that you will continue to practice physical isolation, and wearing a mask I think is a really symbol of trust and solidarity in addition to the health benefits that it confers.”
Dr Riddell points out that none of us truly knows if we are carrying the coronavirus at any given time, so wearing a mask shows that you are concerned for the welfare of the people around you and that you are taking steps to protect them.
