Residents of the Town of Jackson and surrounding Teton County have now been ordered to limit any gatherings to only individuals within the same family. Teton Health District Officer Dr. Travis Riddell issued the order Sunday which now remains in effect through April 17th. The standard exceptions still apply which include obtaining groceries and other necessary supplies, caring for the health and safety of household members or pets, caring for family members of pets in another household, delivering supplies to a residence, engaging in outdoor recreation while observing social distancing, and traveling to and from a place of employment to engage in required work. While elected officials have stressed that they don’t want to use enforcement, a failure or refusal to obey the order may result in a criminal prosecution with a $1000.00 fine and/or imprisonment for not more than one year.
