The outcome of a proposal to build 16 units of affordable housing on Kelly Avenue remains undecided. County commissioners had disagreed with the town council on the number of units that would be built in the residential neighborhood, concluding that 12 units was more appropriate than 16. That is a view shared by many of the neighbors. The commissioners debated again yesterday whether to reconsider their vote, but after discussion, they decided to stay with their 12-unit decision. Next, a meeting with the town will be scheduled to try to finalize the unit number for the project.
