Teton County, in partnership with the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, and the community of Wilson, is seeking input from the public during a virtual open house focused on improving safety for motorists and non-motorists in Wilson, on, and adjacent to, Wyoming Highway 22. The Wilson Multimodal Corridor Study Project will look at developing a long-range transportation plan that will accommodate motorists, transit users, bicyclists, and pedestrians in a manner that fits within the desired character of the community. The segment in question stretches from approximately Wenzel Lane to Elliott Cemetery Road. The transportation plan will consider a variety of improvements, such as vehicular capacity and safety, access management, pathway development, safe routes to school, pedestrian crossings, and corridor aesthetics. Members of the community can help the planning team identify and craft the potential transportation improvements during a virtual open house that will be available online from now through Thursday, October 8th at wilson.altaplanning.cloud.
