With the number of admissions into the hospital, the total number of new cases, contact tracing and community spread all moving back in the “Concerning” category the Teton County Health Department wants all community members to be aware that we are back into the High-Risk level, or Red. This means we have widespread transmission of COVID-19 in our community and stress on our healthcare system. Additionally, the county is currently maxing out its contact tracing capabilities. Teton County Health Director, Jodie Pond urges all community members to decrease their viral footprint by reducing the amount they are moving around the community. Pond says data is showing that people are getting COVID-19 from people they know and not strangers. The health department reiterates that the public needs to seriously follow the familiar and well-publicized guidelines for minimizing exposure between individuals.
