Jackson’s town attorney is calling it quits.
At the close of the regular town council meeting Monday, the Mayor and Town Council accepted the resignation of Audrey Cohen-Davis. Cohen-Davis has served under 3 different Mayors and numerous Town Councils over the past 13 years. As for her plans for the future, Cohen-Davis said, “It is time to pursue other endeavors and to take some time to focus on my family.”
Town Manager Larry Pardee says the Council now may take some time to review the structure for legal services for the Town before they make any decisions on moving forward.
The Mayor and Council are expected to name an acting Town Attorney under a contract for services as an interim measure in the near future.
