The airport in Driggs is making plans to move their runway.
The City of Driggs and Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport has purchased 245 acres at the northeast end of the airport to allow for a runway shift of approximately 1000 feet northeast to remove portions of Highway 33 and several residences from the runway protection zone. The land will continue to be leased for agricultural use until runway construction begins.
Although the runway will be shifted, the approach pattern at the north end of the runway will not change.
