The Town of Jackson’s fireworks are up in the air. With the current acceleration of very high fire danger, the risk of sparks from the annual display are a concern. Town authorities are considering how to address the issue, ranging from cancelling the display altogether to relocating it.
Such considerations are not without precedence. They were cancelled due to fire danger in 2012, and years before, they were relocated to the rodeo grounds. No announcement of any decision concerning this year has been made as yet.
