The Idaho Transportation Department was forced to close Highway 33 between Newdale and Tetonia yesterday, first because of high winds kicking up dust and obscuring visibility, and then because of a multi-vehicle accident there. Sheriff’s deputies and fire units were dispatched to the scene, but details of the crash and the condition of those involved were not immediately available. Highway 32 and a portion of I-15 were also closed due to similar conditions.
