Easter Kegg found in jail

There are a number of traditions around that signal the Spring in Jackson Hole.  The PPP, Gaper Day and of course the annual KMTN /Snake River Berwing Co Easter Kegg Hunt. After taking last year off because of early uncertainty regarding COVID-19, the 11th annual Easter Kegg Hunt wrapped up around 12:50pm on Thursday afternoon.  For years, KMTN has teamed up with local brewers Snake River Brewing Co to hide a painted Keg to resemble an Easter egg somewhere in the Valley.  Clues given throughout the week leading up to the Easter holiday and the first listener that manages to decipher the clues that leads them to the hidden Easter Kegg wins “beer for a year” from Snake River Brewing, concert tickets from KMTN (assuming we have live shows) and other SRB and JHR/KMTN swag.  The total prize value is worth over $2300.
This years winner Dana Grant, also won the 2014 Easter Kegg Hunt when she and partner Maureen Flannagan found the keg hidden in the aquaduct in Russ Garaman Park.

“The Easter Kegg Hunt is a great yearly tradition.  It’s a rare chance to utilize some creative thinking and to get out in the sunny spring weather and explore our wonder community” said Grant.
Unfortunately Dana will have to wait to get the sweet taste of victory as the Brew Pub remains closed for a remodel thru mid June but SRB officials have declared Dana will receive a free beer every day for 365 days beginning when the Brew Pub reopens.
Oh by the way, if you were wondering, this year’s Easter Kegg was hidden in the wooden jail located in front of the Teton Co. Sheriff’s Office.
KMTN Music and Promotions Director Mark Fishman indicated that the whole thing doesn’t happen without the support of our listeners and of course Snake River Brewing.
And added a special thanks to our “undercover Brothers” at the Sheriff’s Office for their help.
The 12th annual KMTN /SRB Easter Kegg Hunt is scheduled for the week of April 11 2022.
