Elevate Math Wyoming, a new community-driven organization, has launched in Jackson, Wyoming, to provide equitable, high-quality math support and enrichment for Teton County youth. Founded by local educators, parents, and STEM professionals, the group aims to close achievement gaps, build confidence, and foster a love for mathematics among students. The initiative addresses educational equity challenges by offering free tutoring, in-class support, after-school enrichment, mentorship, and access to research-based math resources.
Board President Amanda Moyer emphasized that math proficiency unlocks opportunities in education and careers. Registered as a Wyoming public benefit company and fiscally sponsored by Wyoming Stargazing, Elevate Math Wyoming recently received a Community Foundation of Jackson Hole grant to fund elementary programming. The organization seeks volunteers, mentors, and donors to expand its impact. For more details or to get involved, visit www.elevatemathwy.org.
