Elevated fire weather conditions will occur this afternoon and early evening across much of northwest into central Wyoming today. West winds will be from 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 25 to 30 mph, especially in the higher terrain and typically windy areas. Low relative humidities less than 20 percent combined with dry fuels will create locally critical fire weather conditions. Check for local burning restrictions in your area. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged! Activities that produce sparks, such as grinding and welding are not recommended. Avoid parking in high grass and do not throw cigarette butts out. Drown your campfires!
