Emergacare in Jackson has announced they will be doing antibody testing starting Thursday for first responders. Those tests will be free and are being underwritten by TestTetonNow.org, a nonprofit organization.
On Monday, the antibody tests will be available fir the community at large. There is a suggested donation of $75 to TestTetonNow.org.
However, if someone cannot afford the donation, any amount will be appreciated. Any amount donated over the $75 will help pay for others who cannot afford testing.
Those wanting to be tested should go to TestTetonNow.org to fill out a form that they print out and bring with them for testing.
The Emergacare testing is separate from the “blitz” public health PCR antigen testing being done this Friday.
Test Teton Now is a non-profit organization founded by Shaun Andrikopoulos and Clay Moorhead whose advisers include physicians, infectious disease scientists, legal professionals, and technology leaders from the Teton Region.
The organization has partnered with Jackson-based, Extherid Biosciences, LLC to do the SARS-CoV-2 ELISA test which detects the body’s immune response to the infection caused by the virus rather than detecting the virus itself.
