Commuters across Teton Pass can look forward to the passage of Senate File 3 currently before the Transportation Committee. That bill focuses on providing for enforcement of and fines for traffic violations using an automated vehicle identification system.
More specifically, if a vehicle, like a tractor trailer crossing Teton Pass in the winter, is recorded violating the speed limit, size or weight restriction, or seasonal closure, the automated vehicle identification system would provide evidence and the violation could be prosecuted.
