July 12, 2019 by Jackson Hole Radio

Calling all cowboys and cowgirls – entries for the 2019 Teton County Fair Rodeo will be held on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16. This year’s Fair Rodeo will be produced by R and R Rodeo out of Green River, Wyoming. From Bull-riding to Parent/Child Team Roping, this year’s fair rodeo has it all.
On Monday, timed-event entries will be open from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Then on Tuesday, July 16, Bull Riding entries will be open from 8:30 am – 10:30 am, with all other Rough Stock and Mutton Bustin’ entries beginning at 10:30 am – 5: 00 pm (or until full). A new addition to this year’s fair rodeo is Pony Bronc Riding; please call Blake with R and R Rodeo at (307) 466-3997 to enter.
On Wednesday, July 17, the timed-event draw will be posted in the Teton County Fair Office by Noon.
In order to keep Wyoming’s western heritage in full swing, all rodeo contestants and arena helpers must wear western. From Mutton Bustin’ to Tie Down roping, contestants of all ages are welcome.
“There’s no better way to celebrate Wyoming’s Western heritage than with a rodeo,” Teton County Fair Manager Rachel Grimes said. “Whether you’re participating or spectating, the rodeo is what these western summer nights are all about!”
This year’s fair rodeo features $3,000 in added money that is divided between the events that include: Bull Riding; Bareback Riding; Saddle Bronc Riding; Ranch Bronc Riding; Open Barrel Racing; Parent/Child Team Roping; and Open Team Roping. Top contestants are also awarded buckles and 100% pay back of all entry fees collected.
Those interested in competing in this year’s fair rodeo, can enter by calling 307-733-5289. For a full list of rules, contestant information and deadlines, visit the Teton County Fair webpage at: www.tetoncountyfair.com
The Teton County Fair Rodeo will begin at 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2019, and costs $25 for adults and $5 for kids. Tickets available online or at the Fair Office located at 305 West Snow King Avenue.
