The end of the season for outdoor ice rinks in Teton County is drawing near. Currently all the rinks are in great shape for late February as temperatures and weather have been very cooperative through the recent weeks. However, the
Fairgrounds rink will be closing for the season Thursday, March 5th as it must be broken down prior to Hill Climb setup starting the week of March 16th. It requires a couple of weeks to “melt out” the boards, tear it down and clean up the area. Meanwhile, Powderhorn, Owen Bircher and Alta will stay open as long as weather allows. Updated information continues to be posted regularly on the Teton County Parks and Recreation website.
