If there are things to be cleaned up around the house, there are no excuses for putting off the chores now. The town of Jackson and Teton County are observing fall clean-up between now and November 3rd. The trash transfer station is accepting residential yard waste at now charge during this period and those from town having difficulty transporting it there may drop it off at the rodeo grounds November 2nd and 3rd. Yard waste must be in compostable bags or loose – no plastic bags will be accepted. Burning of branches and leaves will be permitted between October 28th and November 3rd, but those wishing to do so will need to call their intentions in to the law enforcement dispatch center before striking a match. Safety precautions also need to be observed including having a water source nearby should the burning need to be contained or extinguished. More information about burn week will be discussed later.
