Fall River Electric Cooperative will hold its annual Energy Expo and business meeting for owner-members on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at North Fremont High School in Ashton, Idaho. Announced on June 11, the free event celebrates the cooperative’s achievements and engages its over 16,000 members across Teton Valley, Island Park, West Yellowstone, and rural areas of Fremont, Madison, and Jefferson counties. Founded in 1938 by local farm families, the cooperative now serves nearly 21,000 meters, making it one of three electric cooperatives in eastern Idaho.
The Energy Expo, open to all Fall River Electric customers, kicks off with a complimentary breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and beverages from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The first 300 attending members will receive a 25-foot indoor/outdoor extension cord and a sturdy tote, while the first 500 will get an energy conservation kit, including a thermostatically controlled outlet, advanced power strip, two LED bulbs, a door sweep, and wool dryer balls. Family-friendly activities include bucket truck rides, bounce houses, a climbing wall, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) stations, with children completing STEM activities earning a free school backpack.
Nearly two dozen vendor booths will offer information and prizes, featuring financial and health care providers, home lighting suppliers, and preparedness experts. The business meeting, starting at 10:00 a.m., will announce the election results for three board of director positions, provide a financial report, and hold a prize drawing for a $1,000 energy credit, a big-screen television, and other items.
