The Teton County Planning and Building Services Department has developed and released amended draft regulations related to Wildlife Friendly Fencing. The Teton County Planning Commissioner will review the draft regulations during their regular meeting on Monday, July 12th, and will make a recommendation to the Teton County Board of County Commissioners during the August 3, 2021, regular meeting.
The updated regulations include clarification and predictability to existing fence repair and replacement standards, an additional exemption for agricultural operations, and an update to the design requirements for wildlife friendly fencing. The updates were a cooperative effort between the Teton Conservation District, WY Game and Fish, Teton Wildlife Foundation, the County, concerned members of the public, and local agricultural operators.
