During the Teton County Board of Commissioners meeting yesterday, it was decided that that Teton County would consider adoption of amendments to the Teton County Land Development Regulations to update the wildlife friendly fencing requirements. This amendment proposal was made by the Teton County Planning Division at the direction of the Teton County Commissioners to update the Natural Resource Land Development Regulations in phases beginning with the wildlife friendly fencing section. The proposed amendments would clarify certain standards outlined for when wildlife friendly fencing is required, how it should be constructed, and certain exemptions from the standards for specific uses. Approval of the measure passed unanimously. Time is built into the revision so that those with non-conforming fences will not have to make necessary changes all at once.
