A structure fire Tuesday on the Snake River Ranch leveled the building and destroyed much of its saw-milling equipment. According to Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, the fire was reported at about 8:15 pm by a passer-by on Highway 390, which was some distance away from the burning building.
The report said the flames were up to 30 feet tall. Several buildings and sheds around the building were also damaged. Six Jackson Fire/EMS stations participated in the effort to douse the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
