A lightning strike six miles northwest of St. Anthony, Idaho late last week sparked a fire that spread to about 120 acres. The fire, burning in grass and brush near the popular St. Anthony Sand Dunes is being fought by multiple agencies aided by air support including at least one very large air tanker. Full containment was anticipated by Saturday evening. Meanwhile, in Yellowstone National Park, the Lone Star Fire is now estimated to involve 960 acres, and while it is expanding, it is not moving significantly toward Old Faithful.
