Preparations are under way for the 79thAnnual Fireman’s Ball to benefit the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department. That department includes Station 1 in downtown Jackson and Adams Canyon which is Station 7. Members of the department provide EMS, rescue and fire protection to residents within a primary service area that extends from South Park to Solitude.
The Jackson Firefighters Association who is organizing the event helps to provide funding for training courses and continuing education for its members, life-saving equipment aboard county-owned fire apparatus, as well as emergency funds for families of local fallen and injured firefighters. This year’s entertainment is being provided by Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band, with opening act Aaron Davis & the Mystery Machine. Tickets are currently available online at jhfire.org.
