The Jackson Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest is announcing a 21-day extension to the public scoping period, or the public comment period, on the proposal from Snow King Mountain Resort for improvements to the ski area. The Forest previously extended the comment period from September 4, 208 to September 13, 2018 earlier this summer.
The Town of Jackson and Teton County, Wyoming, are cooperating agencies and have requested a 21-day extension of the Forest Service’s comment period from September 13, 2018 to October 4, 2018. The extended comment period would better coordinate with the Town and County’s Joint Information meeting and comment process. This now makes the Forest Service comment period a total of 62-days in length as opposed to the required 30-days.
Anyone with comments on the proposal is asked to submit them in writing or electronically by October 4, 2018. While comments will be accepted any time during the process, to establish standing for objection eligibility, comments must be received during this designated opportunity to comment which is August 3 to October 4, 2018. Please address comments as attention: Snow King Mountain Resort On-mountain Improvements Project: Mary Moore, District Ranger, PO Box 1689, Jackson, WY 83001, The office business hours for those submitting hand-delivered comments are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
